Company History

From its beginning Victor International Corporation has intended to stand apart from other developers. Victor is an upscale residential, resort and commercial real estate developer dedicated to providing the highest quality living and working environments. Victor focuses on lifestyle, and our mission is to create and facilitate unique living and working environments in ecological harmony with the land.

Victor International and its affiliates have a long history of precedent setting developments over a period in excess of thirty years. Over this time period Victor has created forty-three developments. These developments have been accepted within the communities of Michigan as setting the standards for excellence and cooperation with local units of government. Each of the developments has been carried forward to bring new standards of quality, imagination and sensitivity to the land and the community. All of the developments have become integral parts of the area in which they have occurred and remain a credit to the community and the residents and persons who use these developments everyday.

A number of the developments have not only achieved recognition within the local communities but have also received recognition on a state, national and international level. Perhaps the most widely acclaimed reclamation project within the State of Michigan is a development by Victor International. That development, Bay Harbor, is located in Resort Township, Michigan, on Lake Michigan and just south of Petoskey, between Petoskey and Charlevoix. This “Crown Jewel of Michigan” as described by former Governor Engler, represents a remediation of a cement plant with its related environmental issues and the redevelopment of the site by the creation of a lake with access to Lake Michigan, retail, office, condominium, and attached and detached single and multiple family residential. Also impressive are the developments of Turtle Lake in Bloomfield Hills, the Parks at Stonewood in Clarkston, Windridge in Northville Township, Heron Bay, Heron Ridge and Heron Park in Bloomfield Hills, Victor Corporate Park in Livonia, Victor Center in Southfield and Echo Ridge in Bloomfield Hills. Victor’s reputation for quality can be seen in all of its forty-three developments, which has allowed each of its developments to succeed and be a desirous place for residents to call home.

Victor has set the standard for luxury real estate in the State of Michigan. Heron’s development was the first development in Michigan to sell residential lots for over $1 million. Bay Harbor is seen as the top luxury resort destination in Michigan. Turtle Lake, Victor’s $400 million low-density development in Bloomfield Hills, is considered by many to be the finest development in Michigan.

In 2006, Victor International acquired resort properties in the British Virgin Islands, Biras Creek Resort and Oil Nut Bay.

Victor has received accolades from professional organizations and the media including; the 2003 Award for Excellence from the Urban Land Institute, 1995 Environmentalist of the Year from the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, 1996 Beautification Award from the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce and the 2001 Regional Cooperation Award from the Northwest Michigan Council of Governments and the Planner’s Review and Advisory Committee.
